“Spark of Hope” unveils a series of photograph by German photographer, Jonas Werner-Hohensee, whose inspiration rises from his visit to northern Thailand. He has a chance to document his works in one of the social projects by Spark of Hope whose headquarter is based in Germany.
Taken with a large format camera and on analog film, Jonas presents strong and sensitive portraits of people and adolescents and also everyday life in the children’s home. More than just faces, his photo documentation is filled with stories. His works address situation of the hill tribal children, who have gone through social exclusion and disadvantage. This exhibition shows different projects of the support from the organization: hill tribe culture, everyday life in the children’s home, and children’s education.
