The Studienbrücke is a program that prepares students who have achieved excellent marks in mathematics, computer science, technology, sciences (STEM subjects) and German language skills for studies in Germany and introduces them to the German teaching and learning culture. Selected preparatory content, training and intensive support from handpicked partner universities enable an optimal start to your studies.

The Studienbrücke accompanies you in the U.S. and in Germany with professional and personal preparation and support from the university and the Goethe-Institut. The Studienbrücke is at your side!

The Studienbrücke program offers a direct path to university admission and, through its content, creates optimal conditions for a successful transition from high school to a German university and long-term success in your studies. The admission requirements at German universities are so complex that they should always be carefully examined on a case-by-case basis with the help of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the interactive tool DAAD-Service My Guide.

American school graduates are, in principle, just as likely to gain university access through the German Language Diploma of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany at level two (DSD II) and the right school subject combination. More information can be found here.

The Studienbrücke provides orientation right from the start through good preparation and strong support. Successful Studienbrücke graduates can apply directly to selected Studienbrücke partner universities in North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia and Brandenburg by taking the TestDaF and TestAS exams. The partner universities reserve a certain number of study places each year especially for the Studienbrücke. They offer first-year students a comprehensive range of support services at the start of and during their studies. Last, but not least, the Studienbrücke participants are part of an international student community at their future university, which is characterized by very special achievements in their studies.

The Studienbrücke is offered in the region of Eastern Europe/Central Asia (Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstand, Azerbaijan, Belarus,), the USA, Mexico, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and South America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Peru, Uruguay).
