Join TOP for a very unique Monday virtual tour event! What would a STEM virtual tour be without experimenting with something new?
Many of our study tour groups have traveled with Lena Carlson through Germany. She is the German-American who lives in Freiburg and has a MS in Forest Conservation from the Forest Research Institute of Baden-Württemberg.
TOP and Lena invite you to join us for a live virtual hike through the Black Forest. This is a virtual tour format we have not yet attempted, but we can't think of a better place to test the limits of Zoom connectivity.
Famous for its cuckoo clocks and “Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte”, the Black Forest region in southwest Germany is also at the forefront of sustainable forestry and integrated forest conservation practices. Learn about the Black Forest’s history, regional forestry practices, and environmental pressures, as well as some of the local plant and animal species, all while enjoying some beautiful scenery.
