The story is based on an authentic case, the odyssey of a boy, who is called Fritz Blume in the story, through forced psychiatrization from 1936 to 1953. For the National Socialist regime, children who grew up in orphanages were "useless eaters". They were considered "socially inferior". 200,000 people fell victim to this "racial hygiene" and the "destruction of unworthy life" by 1945. The collapse of the Nazi regime changed little in the conditions of the homes and institutions until the 1960s. Miraculously, Fritz Blume survived and testified to forced psychiatrization, violence and humiliation.
 
Robert Krieg (* 1949) studied sociology and ethnology and works as a documentary filmmaker and publicist. In the 1990s he was a lecturer at the International University of Film and Television in San Antonio (Cuba), he also led a training project for radio and television journalism in the Palestinian Territories, funded by the European Union.
 
Daniel Daemgen (* 1975) studied history, German and media studies, works as a high school teacher and draws in his free time.
