Description
Based on a true story, this award-winning film tells of the terrible everyday life at the Freistatt Reformatory. The year is 1968, student unrest is shaping Europe, the Rolling Stones are rocking and the sexual revolution is just around the corner. A new era is dawning in Germany. At this point, rebellious 14-year-old Wolfgang is shipped off by his family to the remote Freistatt Welfare Institution, a world of locked doors, barred windows, and military drill.
