This story, set in Berlin, centers on 13-year-old loner Nelly, who perceives herself as completely normal but shares nothing with her peers. She moves in her very own intellectual world. Her passion is science. She is fascinated by the stars and immerses herself in her galaxy book day in and day out. This enthusiasm for the laws of nature and their interrelationships unites her with the young Prince Edouard of Luxembourg, with whom she falls madly in love. As he is the patron of a basketball tournament, the unathletic Nelly has only one goal: to be accepted into her school's basketball team, to participate in the event!
