Afghan Punk Magazine is an independently run art and literary magazine for a critical approach to solidarity, transformation, community and revolution. Founded in 2018 in a communal space in the Berlin district Wedding, the magazine aims to facilitate an emancipatory approach to art and politics beyond the Western gaze and imitation. In the style of femme punk rebellion, the magazine embodies collective care, breaks taboos and social norms, and creates space for vulnerability and imagination. In three issues, Afghan and other international liberation struggles are brought together around the themes of grief, love and the future.
