Bernard Caleo edited the giant romance comics anthology Tango from 1997 to 2009, made the feature documentary Graphic Novels! Melbourne! in 2012 with filmmaker Daniel Hayward which they toured internationally, including screenings in Berlin and Hamburg. In 2015 he inaugurated the graphic novel publishing enterprise Twelve Panels Press with friends Erica Wagner and Elizabeth MacFarlane. The first work was an English translation of German artist Jan Bauer’s graphic novel Der Salzige Fluss - The Salty River. Bernard is a comics teacher, comics maker, and comics correspondent.
