What does examination location mean?
As the exam location, you conclude a contract with the Goethe-Institut Belgium. The examinations take place at your school and your additionally qualified German teachers take part in the examination and assessment. This enables us to offer greatly reduced exam prices.
You need a minimum of 22 candidates to participate. Do you have fewer students? Then take part in the examination co-operation as a cooperation partner without a contract!

Contract „Prüfungsort des Goethe-Instituts“
Your school receives a contract, which must be signed by the school management, and becomes an examination centre of the Goethe-Institut.
You appoint an examination officer who is responsible for the proper conduct of the examinations and ensures the confidentiality of the examination material.
Your school will be included in the partner school network of the Goethe-Institut Belgium and will benefit from our professional support. -
Training und Zertifizierung
As the examination centre, the school's German teachers take part in the examination and assessment. As the Goethe exams may only be taken by qualified examiners, we train and certify your German teachers accordingly.
You can also take part in exam preparation workshops. -
Festlegen der Prüfungstermine
Both the written and oral examinations take place at your school. We will set the examination dates together. You can organise different levels, provided you have enough qualified examiners. Exam dates are allocated according to availability.

Preparation of the exam participants
You prepare your students for the respective exams and register a minimum of 22 exam participants in total. Do you have fewer students? Take part in the examination cooperation as a partner school without a contract!
Use the Goethe-Institut's model and practice sets for optimal preparation! -
Implementation of the tests
You receive the examination material from the Goethe-Institut, conduct the written examinations at your school and carry out the initial assessment. The second assessment is carried out by examiners from the Goethe-Institut.
The oral examinations also take place at your school. They are conducted by tandems consisting of a certified German teacher from the school and an examiner from the Goethe-Institut.
For every 24 exam participants, one certified German teacher from the school who has been trained for the corresponding level also takes the exam. -
After completion of the exams
At the earliest 6 weeks after receiving the initial assessment and completing the oral examination, the Goethe-Institut will issue the certificates or confirmations of participation for your students and send them to your school.
We will then evaluate and plan further cooperation.
