Jayrôme C. Robinet
Jayrôme C. Robinet, born 1977 in France, is a writer, translator, and spoken word performer. He has published two volumes of short stories in France. His German-language debut Das Licht ist weder gerecht noch ungerecht (“Light Is Neither Fair Nor Unfair”) premiered in 2015 at Maxim Gorki Theatre as a one-person play. Mein Weg von einer weißen Frau zu einem jungen Mann mit Migrationshintergrund (“My Way from a White Woman to a Young Immigrant Man”) was published by Hanser Berlin in 2019.
Robinet holds an M.A. in Biographical and Creative Writing, teaches Creative Writing at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin, and is pursuing a PhD in Performance Poetry at the DFG Graduate School at the Berlin University of the Arts in Berlin.
