How can Canadian German teachers help their students learn from history in the German classroom? And what are the connections between German and Canadian history when it comes to the Holocaust?

Recent developments have led to educational efforts to incorporate these issues into Canadian curricula in order to sensitize the younger generation to the dangers of extreme political ideologies and the stereotyping and exclusion of social groups.

For this reason, we have compiled a collection of German-language teaching materials for Grades 6 and 10 that are suitable for the Canadian context and have prepared them in such a way that they can be used directly in school language classes, in some cases from the A2 level upwards.
