From the airport:
A shuttle bus connects Dresden Airport with the city centre, approximately 9 kilometres away. To get from the airport to the Goethe Institute, board bus number 77 in the direction of Klotzsche and change to the number 7 tram line in the direction of Pennrich at the stop Infineon Nord. The institute is at the seventh stop (Tannenstrasse/Goethe-Institut). The total travel time is approximately 30 minutes. There are several departures per day to Dresden from all major German airports (Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne/Bonn, Stuttgart). There are also direct flights to and from the following European cities: Barcelona (via Palma de Mallorca), Paris, Vienna, Zurich.
From the railway station:
From the main railway station: Take tram line 8 in the direction of Hellerau or line 7 in the direction of Weixdorf and get off at the "Tannenstrasse/Goethe-Institut" station (approx. 20 minutes)
From the Neustadt railway station: tram line 3 (in the direction of Coschütz) or line 11 (Bühlau) to the "Albertplatz" station (one stop). Change to line 7 (Weixdorf) or line 8 (Hellerau) to the "Tannenstrasse/Goethe-Institut" station (approx. 10 minutes).
Closure dates
From 23 December 2024 through 3 January 2025 the Goethe-Institut Dresden will be closed.
