The year 2020 saw a new instalment of the innovative workshop and training project “Scientific Storytelling”. The different event formats were again attended by actors of print and multimedia journalism, continuing to act on the growing importance of digital media. Despite the global pandemic and associated challenges, the target group of beneficiaries was defined even more broadly this time around, enabling the inclusion of more participants from Jordan and Tunis through online formats. The Fundamentals Workshop delved into aspects of research, storytelling, and the professional field of multimedia journalism. After drafting their own articles or creating multimedia items, participants moved on to the Advanced Workshop to tackle key topics like topic identification and networking, with a special focus on the introduction to mobile journalism.
