A glimpse into the symposium

The Goethe-Institut Äthiopien and the Society of Friends of the Institute of Ethiopian Studies (SOFIES) have invited you to a symposium on Job Ludolf and his work to mark the 400th anniversary of his birth.

The all-day symposium on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Goethe-Institut presented the reflections and perspectives of contemporary Ethiopian experts on the works of Job Ludolf and the emergence of Ethiopian studies. 

Prof. Shiferaw Bekele, Prof. Sebsebe Demmisew, Dr. Alula Pankhurstt and Abba Daniel Assefa gave lectures.
