Luis Felipe Miguel

A political scientist, Luis Felipe Miguel researches and teaches at the University of Brasilia, as well as heading a research group of the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cientifico e Tecnológico (CNPq). He has written more than a dozen books about democratic theory, gender and politics and about the influence of mass media on contemporary society. His work Democracia e representação won an award as best social science book in 2015. In addition, Luis Felipe Miguel participates actively and passionately in public debates. He has made a name for himself in numerous blogs as a defender of a radical and participatory form of democracy.
