About Tom Crewther
Tom is a British diplomat currently posted to Berlin. Although he speaks German every day for his work now, a love of language was something he discovered later in life. Tom started off studying physics at university before going to London to work in finance. A holiday to Hamburg triggered his interest in German (and languages in general). He started a YouTube channel documenting his learning-journey and was eventually hired by Babbel (a language learning app) to make German-language content for them. Now he uses his language skills full time to represent the UK abroad as a member of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
