Artist talk with Siri Black, Libby Odai and Marion Carré moderated by curator Prof. Sarah Cook within 'Night of Ideas'.

The Alliance Française Glasgow, the Goethe-Institut Glasgow, the Institut Français d’Ecosse and NEoN Digital Arts are excited to take part in the ‚Night of Ideas‘ on Wednesday 27th January 2021 at 6pm.

Within the frame of this year’s topic 'Together‘ the three contemporary artists Siri Black (Germany/Scotland), Libby Odai (Scotland) and Marion Carré (France) will present their work and research in conversation with curator Prof. Sarah Cook (NEoN Digital Arts / University of Glasgow).

The digital residency ‘New Forms of Togetherness’

The three international contemporary artists have been selected to take part in the digital residency ‘New Forms of Togetherness’ which will contribute to the interdisciplinary discourse between Contemporary Visual Art and the topic of Artificial Intelligence taking place until December 2021.

Yet the discourse surrounding AI is still mainly taking place in the technical sector. This digital residency aims at uniting technology and art, thus creating a new approach to an increasingly central topic. Therefore, the remote residency will support the three artists to continue their research and work with the support of our Scottish partners: The National Library of Scotland, the Social Brain in Action Lab, NEoN Digital Arts and the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow.

Please find the link for the online event on Facebook and the Code of Conduct for this event.

'New Forms of Togetherness' is supported and funded through the Franco-German Cultural Fund.
