Do physical sites carry traces of those who once lived there? An abandoned building with windows boarded up and a lawn grown wild offers a deep dive into forgotten histories of ordinary lives, relationships begun, broken off and revived.

A masked figure stands motionless in the corner, without speaking. Their eyes are hidden but you can't shake off the feeling that they are following you as you walk through this intimate space. The walls are adorned with symbols and fragments of paper and materials. The masquerades of Carnival are evoked, along with their power to disrupt social norms and hierarchies.

This film, with accompanying performance and installation, operates hauntingly at the intersection between here and there, now and then, lost and found.
