1. AI Technology in Assisting Victims of Online Gender-Based Violence 

This workshop will enhance knowledge and promote best practices in using AI technology to assist victims of online gender-based violence by identifying and removing non-consensual intimate content from platforms. 

Participants will learn about: 
  • What online gender-based violence is, 
  • How to use stopncii.org, and 
  • How to use takeitdown.ncmec.org.
Facilitator: ICT Watch is a civil society organisation that has initiated a number of digital literacy initiatives and movements in Indonesia. 

2. Artificial Intelligence and the Challenge of Hoaxes

This workshop will discuss how AI can be used to manipulate information that can have an impact on the emergence of misinformation and disinformation, as well as how we can address it. 
 
Participants will learn about: 
  • The use of AI for voice and video manipulation 
  • Case study: Do fact-checking organizations in Indonesia use AI? 
  • The use of platforms to detect manipulated information.

3. Decoding AI : How Biased AI Impact Your Career

In this workshop we explore how biased algorithms can impact your future and career. Delve into the perils of AI in study placement allocation and company hiring processes, uncovering potential career setbacks due to biased filters. Empower yourself with awareness to navigate an equitable digital world.

Facilitator: Lena Rickenberg works at the Think Tank iRights.Lab as a project lead for digital mobility and is also part of the team responsible for research and communication about AI and Ethics. She studied Political Management and worked in the startup and non-profit sector before.

4. Redefining the Future of Music: Discussion

If making music now is as easy as writing a line of text, what will become of the music industry in the future? Does AI create opportunities to make it easier for more people to enter the music industry or does it reduce the number of music professionals? Is this a new era in the music industry or is it the end of authenticity?

Monita Tahalea, a singer and songwriter. She started her career in music after she became the top 4 finalist of Indonesian Idol 2005.

Film Screenings

The animated film series AVA – Artificial V Art places a special focus on artificial intelligence. Art and artificiality seem to be mutually dependent and open a new approach to questions of authorship and the definition of art.

5. Behind the News: How Harian Kompas Uses AI

In this workshop, Harian Kompas will reveal how they embrace AI technology to strengthen their journalistic work to add value to Kompas' digital products for the public. We will see first-hand examples of the use of AI technology that has been implemented in Kompas. In addition, we will also see how Kompas uses AI technology to improve the quantity and quality of daily work.
