The latest innovation at the Goethe-Institut Jakarta Library is a digital library card application called BibToGo. Since its launch in 2019, the application has been implemented by at least forty-eight Goethe-Instituts worldwide and will continue to grow. As members of the Goethe-Institut Jakarta Library no longer use plastic membership cards, using BibToGo supports environmental sustainability. BibToGo won the Zukunftsgestalter in Bibliotheken 2021 award.
