Arthouse Cinema 2019
German-Indonesian Arthouse
Arthouse Cinema is the regular film program of the Goethe-Institut in Indonesia. It highlights cinematographic and artistically outstanding feature films and documentaries from Germany, Indonesia and beyond that are thought-provoking, put a focus on strong themes and challenge the viewing habits of the audience. In its current program series Wirtschaftswunden, Arthouse Cinema directs the view from the abstract to the personal and presents films in which economic circumstances and relationships determine the lives of people - their hopes and possibilities, their co-existence, their self-image and their creative power.
