Imagine an entity – a place – where sound becomes the focal point for a fantastical journey. Layer upon layer, sonic concepts unfold: bold, nostalgic, abstract, fluid, and epic. At the heart of this journey lies a single mantra: “Believe”. A word that carries a hidden postscript, in this fictitious escapade, beyond the necessity of understanding, enacting that “to experience” is rather more important than "to comprehend".

This philosophy forms the foundation of “Made to Believe”, a daring and imaginative contemporary-infused tale composed by Jason Mountario and revamped by LOVE IS. Executed out of rigidly wild written materials, the album prioritizes the blending of free structure improvisation as demonstrated through its eight compositions: One Big if, Fetus Fantasy, Spoiled Spoilers, Beautiful Breed, Hush Hunt, Twin Terminal, Made to Believe, and Kindergarten.

For one night only at Alur Bunyi, these compositions will be performed in their entirety, inviting the audience to embark on their own interpretative journey. Between performances, audiences will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with the artists, offering deeper insight into the creative process behind this boundary-pushing work.

Made to Believe is a follow-up to the 2023’s self-titled LOVE IS. The coming of the new release also brought new development: once a trio consists of Jason Mountario (bass), Sri Hanuraga (piano), and Kelvin Andreas (drum), they brought new dimensions with the addition of Rainer James in saxophone.
