In a drive to expand its language course offerings, the Goethe-Institut is looking for college/university graduates who are interested in becoming certified as instructors of German as a Foreign Language (DaF – Deutsch als Fremdsprache). The Goethe-Institut is offering a continuing education programme for this certification. The Grünes Diplom is the worldwide standardised certification for DaF instructors at Goethe-Institut locations abroad. Applicants from non-EU countries must have a valid work permit for Ireland.

The training as a German teacher at the Goethe-Institut leads to the Grünes Diplomcertificate, a globally standardised qualification for teachers of German as a foreign language at Goethe-Instituts abroad. The holders of Grünes Diplom are eligible to teach the entire course portfolio of the Goethe-Institut.

After successful completion of the observation phase, you can start teaching at the Goethe-Institut on a contractual basis. There is no employment guarantee.
That depends on the fulfilled prerequisites and on how quickly you can complete the DLL modules. On average, the training takes about 12-18 months.
