Karim, the first-person narrator from Iraq is to be deported from Germany, his right to asylum has been revoked. Actually, he wanted to be in France but ended up in Bavaria when he fled Iraq three years ago. Since then, he has had to struggle with forms and asylum shelters. Because nobody has really paid him any attention in the past, and shocked by what he has been told, he manages to get the caseworker to finally listen to him: he ties her to a chair. She needs to understand what it means not to be allowed to live at home or abroad.
