Two sisters who have not seen each other for a long time, meet up in Frankfurt: Ines, a capricious and alcoholic painter, and the author. Ines seeks help from her younger sister who is cold and dismissive at first. When the narrator discovers that she is interested in Kai, Ines’s boyfriend, her relationship with her sister is more relaxed. Ultimately both are yearning for sisterly love. A fall while drunk brings Ines to the hospital and the sisters grow closer once again.
