This phase included a workshop organized at the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata and conducted by the artist along with Srinivas Rao, from the Azad Foundation. The workshop was focussed on ideation and was a precursor to a series of visuals that were developed to finally give shape to a protagonist who would appear in the posters for the planned visual intervention in the public domain later. The workshop was an initiation of discussion within a closed group of fifteen young artists/students and professionals from various walks of life along with experts working at grass-root levels. The two-day workshop, through informal interactions and exchanges, catalysed by the content and material from the research phase along with visual material on the concerning issue of masculine existences and the idiosyncrasies of masculinity as an identity, culminated into the participants creating a series of visuals and texts. These led the artist Sumantra Mukherjee to finally give shape to a protagonist for the posters.
