Fikri Anıl Altıntaş

Fikri Anıl Altıntaş [he/him] is a freelance writer from Berlin and #HeForShe catalyst for UN Women Germany. He writes about (critical) masculinity (s), gender equality, the construction of marginalized, non-white masculinities and orientalism. In his texts he reflects, among other things, his personal socialization as well as narratives about racialized, Turkish-Muslim masculitinites in a white society. His texts have already appeared in Taz, der Freitag, Pinkstinks and Neues Deutschland, among others.

A real man would never not show emotions, he should cry it he wants too and never not stay silent when he encounters or uses gender based violence.
