Reading
In this section you will read various texts such as e-mails, comments or information pertaining to nursing as well as general professions and day-to-day life. You will be required to identify key information, important details, as well as points of view, opinions and regulations.
Your knowledge of vocabulary and grammar will be ascertained in individual sentences and fill-in-the-blank texts.
Listening
In this section you will hear interviews, lectures, conversations and statements taken from both professional (pertaining to nursing as well as general professions) and day-to-day life contexts. You will be required to identify key messages and important details.
In this digital part of the exam, reading and listening are combined.
Total duration: 60-90 minutes
Writing
You will be asked to write a text, for example, a referral report for a patient. You will also be required to write a formal letter in a professional context.
Duration: 75 minutes
Speaking
You will conduct a conversation with your conversation partner and have a debate with one another, once playing the role of a nurse and once playing the role of a patient.
You will also be required to introduce a patient to a group of colleagues and then ask and answer questions.
Duration: 15 minutes
