‘Hans in Luck’ sets itself apart from other folk and fairy tales. There are no damsels or princes but Hans - a young man, who believes that every change is for the better. Lucky / Happy Hans -a radical retelling of this classic Brothers Grimm tale by Tara Books; illustrated by Maguma, juxtaposes two visual narratives set in two styles that unfold across accordion-folded pages. The post- launch activities include an interaction with Dr. Görgen - Director, Goethe -Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Chennai, where she looks at the relevance of fairy tales in today’s world and shares her view of the memorable tale ‘Hans im Glück’.
