With approx. 700 schools respectively, they have a presence in every district and major city. German in 1000 Schools

With a network of over 1000 schools in Delhi, the schools aim to impart quality education to students in Delhi. https://www.edudel.nic.in/

Since 2012, the project "German in 1000 Schools" has aimed at supporting the teaching and learning of German in state-run schools in India. We collaborate with various school chains like Department of Education (Government of NCT of Delhi), Eklavya Model Residential Schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), which offer German across the length and breadth of the country. This project is also open to other school boards.

At present around 25,000 students are learning German in around 140 state-run schools in India German as an additional language in these schools. The Goethe-Institut supports these schools with teaching materials, teacher training programs and events for students like youth camps, cultural events and competitions, scholarships for students and study trips to Germany for decision-makers. The support is offered both in online and offline formats.
