Navakarnataka Publications invites proposals for publishing
children's books in
Kannada under the
Kinder Katha 2.0 project.
Kinder Katha has been conceptualized by the
Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore to support the creation of Children's literature in regional languages. Organizing workshops, symposiums, book discussions, and providing support to publishers are among the activities of this project.
As part of the second edition of this project we are now inviting applications from interested authors and illustrators for an opportunity to create
8 picture books in Kannada on new and relevant topics for children between
8-12 years of age.
Submission guidelines:
-The manuscript should not exceed beyond 500-700 words as the resulting book would mostly be covered in illustrations.
-The story/manuscript should be unpublished.
-Selected manuscript/writer will be paid Rs.5000 and royalty
-Editorial Committe's decision will be final
-The manuscript should be sent to
publications@navakarnataka.com before
