Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan Pune and PASCH Pune (Project - Schools: Partners for the future), present a reading from Tintenherz (Inkheart), the first part of the popular Inkworld-Trilogy by the internationally acclaimed, successful and popular childrens book author - Cornelia Funke. This online reading session will also include a Q&A, giving the participants a golden opportunity to interact with Cornelia directly!

About the book:
Published in both German and English in 2003, Inkheart was immediately so successful that Funke decided to turn it into a trilogy. Two years later, she published Inkspell and another two years on, Inkdeath.
Much like many other fantasy novels, Cornelia Funke's books also highlight the stark contrasts between the real world in fiction and the world of the imagination. These two fictive realms, however, relate to each as if they were linked through a keyhole. That keyhole, it turns out, are books themselves.

About the Author:
Cornelia Funke is internationally the most successful and well-known German author in the field of children and young adult’s literature. She has achieved acclaim as the author of the children's novels The Thief Lord (2002) and Dragon Rider which were translated and released in English after originally being published in Germany. Cornelia Funke began writing novels in the late 1980s and focused primarily on fantasy-oriented stories that depict the lives of children faced with adversity and has since become Germany's "best-selling author for children. She achieved wider recognition with the Inkheart series of novels and Reckless. Cornelia Funke has written more than 60 books by now and has sold more than 31 million copies worldwide. Her titles have been translated into more than 50 languages.
