Goethe-Institut Bangladesh, with the
Berlinale World Cinema Fund (WCF), announces the second screening of WCF awarded films in the

The series will showcase outstanding international productions in the next four months. Each session will be followed by a live Q&A with the filmmaker moderated by award-winning auteur director
Kamar Ahmad Simon from Bangladesh. Kamar himself has been awarded by the WCF for his upcoming film
Shikolbaha (
Iron Stream). All the films have been carefully picked from more than two hundred WCF awarded films. The films in the series, (curated by
Sara Afreen and the
WCF), have already been in official selection of many international festivals and received notable audience reception for their cinematic brilliance.

Synopsis:
A young couple settles down in a large abandoned industrial warehouse. An orange strip, glued to the floor, partitions the area in two equal portions: to the right, his sculpture atelier; to the left, her dance studio.
Pendular takes place in this setting, where art, performance and intimacy mingle together; and where the characters slowly lose their capacity to distinguish between their artistic projects, their past and their romantic relationship.
Viewers are invited to join the live Q&A on
Goethe-Institut Bangladesh’s Facebook page on
Friday, 26 February 2021, 21:00 (IST).
