Workshop Facilitators for "Game Changers - Girls in Gaming"

Are you a game developer, game designer, or professional in the gaming industry with a passion for empowering the next generation of young female professionals? We are looking for skilled facilitators to equip girls and young women, aged 15-18, with the foundational skills to explore and create games. Submit your offer by 12 April 2025.

About the Project

While many girls and young women play video games, they often don’t see themselves represented and lack safe spaces in gaming communities. The project "Game Changers - Girls in Gaming" aims to empower young women in the MENA region by providing them with skills in game development, design, game art, programming, and other relevant areas of game creation. This initiative helps bridge the gender gap in the industry and promotes more inclusive, diverse games.

Workshop Overview

We are looking to organize 3-4 workshops and a 1-2 hour quick workshop program, targeting female youths aged 15-18 years:

  • Quick Workshop (1-2 hours): This workshop will be a brief, engaging introduction to game development, aimed at schoolgirls. It will be part of a larger Girls Day program and should provide an inspiring, hands-on experience for the participants. The workshop will be held on 24th April 2025 in Jabal Amman, Amman.
  • Weekend Workshops (2-day workshops): These workshops will span two days, taking place over several weekends. They will focus on deeper learning of game development, design, programming, or other areas of gaming and provide participants with a more comprehensive understanding of professions in the gaming field in Amman.
  • Hybrid Workshop: One of the workshops will be hybrid, with participants from Jordan and other countries in the MENA region joining online.

Please note: Indicate in the submission form if you want to facilitate one or several workshops and which topics you would like to cover.

Additional Services

We are also interested in having someone with expertise in researching inclusive and women-empowering games for different consoles and mobile games. If this is within your expertise, please include this as part of your offer.
