- Photography and film: photography, film, documentary

- Street and urban arts: graffiti, street performances, public Installations

Requirements
- Based in Jordan
- Your initiative or project is headed by women or has at least 50% female participants
- Age requirement: the majority of your team is 35 years old or younger.
- Good English language skills
- Availability to realise the project in 2025
- Willingness to travel to Europe to visit and exchange with initiatives
Selection Criteria
- Quality of the Proposal: Completeness and accuracy of the information provided
- Quality of the Idea: Impact of the proposal on the audience/community, feasibility
- Motivation: Why is this project important and what do you hope to achieve?
What We Offer:
- Support regarding identifying, and reviving abandoned space into a temporary cultural hub (acquiring service providers, material, mentorship, etc.)
- Mentorship from European experts in urban revitalisation
- Support and resources to bring your artistic vision to life
Repurposing Approach:
- The transformation of the spaces will be shaped based on the concepts provided by the selected art initiatives, ensuring that the repurposing aligns with the artistic vision and needs of the practitioners.
- The spaces will receive light renovations, ensuring safety, basic functionality and infrastructure.
- Furnishment, further technical requirements, and additional decorative elements should be considered when submitting as being financed by your project.
- Please note that the REPURPOSE project will not provide funding for the realization of your initiative at the venue. It will focus on physically reviving the space with minimal material interventions to make it usable again. Additionally, it will offer mentoring support.
Potential Applicants:
- Individual Artists: Emerging painters, sculptors, and multimedia artists looking to showcase their work in a unique urban setting. Performance artists, including actors, dancers, and musicians, who can engage the community through live performances.
- Cultural Practitioners: Curators and art directors who aim to organize and manage exhibitions or cultural events. Educators and workshop leaders who plan to offer community-based art education programs.
- Art Collectives: Groups of artists working collaboratively on large-scale installations or public art projects. Theater troupes or music bands that can perform and interact with the community.
- Cultural Initiatives: Non-profit organizations focused on promoting arts and culture within the community. Initiatives that support underrepresented artists, particularly women and young creatives.
