Scholarship of the Villa Kamogawa

The three-month stay in Kyoto offers the scholars an insight into an unfamiliar everyday life and a new urban and social environment. Visits, discussions and working contacts with local artists provide new perspectives, methods and materials. These can be gradually integrated into their own artistic work or serve as inspiration for new productions.

The scholarship

The previous selection process of applying as an artist will be changed to a nomination process. The scholarships will be awarded by an international jury based on nominations by external experts.
Unsolicited applications for the Villa Kamogawa are therefore no longer possible.
