The project “Between the Wrinkles” aims to capture and document the history and life experiences of elderly Tamil people living in Jaffna and other parts of Sri Lanka.The ultimate goal is to share the rich history and experiences of the Tamil people in Sri Lanka with the wider Tamil diaspora.
Kiranmayi Veeramani is a freelance photographer, cinematographer and educator based out of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She likes to document the trueness in a moment as is. As a child, She used to just lose time seeing old photo albums repeatedly, wondering what the stories behind each of them would be.“Every picture is a moment frozen in time”, and the fact that she could do this gives her an unexplainable sense of power, pride and joy.
