This project proposes an exploration of border identities through the personal story of Narayanaswamy Paththar, a goldsmith and immigrant from India who settled in Vannarpannai, Jaffna. Narayanaswamy's journey captures the complexities and challenges faced by individuals navigating citizenship, nationhood, and the concept of belonging in a post-colonial context. The project aims to document his story through photographs and silent videos, shedding light on the practical views and experiences related to border identities.
