The Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka wants to support Sri Lankan television networks and professionals in their efforts to shape television in their service for the public. One focus is to open ways to connect with the INternational PUblic Television conference INPUT. The annual INPUT conference offers great opportunities to deal with questions about public service broadcasting or “Television in Public Interest”, and to develop a self-conception of the individual engagement.
In May this year and for the first time during INPUT history, the INternational PUblic Television conference took place in our South Asian neighbourhood as INPUT Bangkok.
The colleagues from Forest Creatures Foundation and the Goethe-Institut New York have presented a terrific concept for the next conference which will be opened on April 30, 2018 at the Williamsburg Cinemas in Brooklyn.

In order to enable more interested people to access and discuss the TV films of "International Public Television" (INPUT), Mini-INPUT will take place in Sri Lanka again this year.
81 productions, 39 participating countries, 33 sessions: The INPUT 2017 occurred in the heart of the Greek city Thessaoliniki. The Goethe-Insitut was, in cooperation with Municipalty TV 100 and public broadcaster ERT, part of the organising team.
INPUT– International Public Television Conference is a non-profit organization of public television programme makers and broadcasters. It is the organizer of an annual conference to discuss and challenge the boundaries of public TV.
In 2016, the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka sent producer, and head of the documentary department of the Sri Lanka TV Corporation, Ahula Disanayaka, to INPUT. A first-time ever initiative that should prove itself productive.
