A German film team is currently in the northeast of Turkey to shoot a documentary there. In the process, they witness a ritual that a woman performs repeatedly to keep the memory of her missing son alive. The Kurdish translator Leyla (Aybi Era) is also the nanny of little Melek (Çagla Yurga). When the girl seems to be haunted by a mysterious force, her father Zafer (Ahmet Varli) sounds the alarm. He works for a shady organization and is thus torn between loyalty to his employer and fear for his family.
