KinoFest is the Goethe-Institut's annual festival celebrating contemporary German cinema in Southeast Asia. This year, the festival travels to 6 cities in Thailand, including outdoor screenings at selected venues.The festival will take place from November 5 - 17, 2024, in Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, Hat Yai, Chiang Mai, Phayao, Phitsanulok, and Nakhon Ratchasima.

Curated by Indonesian film curator Lisabona Rahman, the festival features a selection of brand-new films fresh from the Berlinale and other festivals. Rahman’s curatorial expertise ensures a diverse and engaging lineup, showcasing the latest and most compelling narratives from the German film scene.

The collection creatively employs various storytelling genres such as narrative fiction, documentary, and animation to raise awareness and advocate for digital rights.
