In short: Our online live course is like "normal" lessons, only it does not take place in a classroom at the Goethe-Institut Thailand, but in a virtual classroom in Zoom. As in normal lessons, you have a professional and exam-certified teacher, you use a course book and workbook and learn together with other German learners. You will also take turns learning in different social forms: in plenary, in individual work, in a group, etc. You will practise all skills, do your homework and receive feedback on your learning progress from the teacher.

What is the difference between a live online course and a blended learning course?

In your online live course, you always learn together in a group and always with a teacher. In the course, you work on new learning content and practice it. After the lessons, you can do your homework, for example, or repeat learning content. The course content at language levels A1-B1 is based on the textbook "Momente". From level B1+, the textbook is "Sicher!".

In your blended learning course, you will spend 60% of the learning time practising communication in German and speaking skills together with the teacher and the group. In the other 40% of the learning time, you will work independently on interactive learning tasks on the digital learning platform of the Goethe-Institut Thailand and receive individual feedback from the teacher. You do not need a textbook for the blended learning course, all learning materials are on the learning platform.

Course participants must be at least 16 years of age. In the case of specially organized courses for Young Learners (normally during the Thai school holidays) the minimum age is 14.

You can purchase your books e.g. in the book store at the institute. Please order your books in good time so that you have it at the beginning of the course.

Yes, you can participate normally in class with a tablet or a smartphone, communicate with your fellow students, use the whiteboard, upload assignments, do your homework and more. However we recommend using a laptop or PC since the screen is larger and typing on a keyboard is easier.

We use Zoom for our classes because it best supports our diverse teaching methods while ensuring your privacy. For the best experience we recommend a headset with a microphone and a webcam.

No, it is enough if you can use your computer, tablet or smartphone normally, e.g. open documents, type words on the keyboard or click icons. We take care of the technology in the background so you can fully concentrate on learning German. And should you ever have technical problems, please contact us. We are happy to help!
