From life in the fast lane, portfolio manager Oliver (Tom Schilling) ends up straight in a wheelchair: paralyzed after a serious self-inflicted car accident. In addition to a broken body and his new degrading feeling of being “disabled”, Oliver has another problem: He must get his illegally earned money from Switzerland to Germany as quickly as possible. Organizing a group excursion for his disabled living community, who call themselves "the goldfish”, to Switzerland for a camel therapy, seems like his best option. The fast-paced road movie, which challenges the perception of what is considered “normal”, can begin.
A great cast with Jan-Hendrik Stahlberg and Axel Stein as autistic people, Jella Haase as the compassionate caregiver, Birgit Minichmayr as a brash blind woman, Kida Khodr Ramadan as a stoic carer and - great discovery - Luisa Wöllisch as a young woman with Down's syndrome, the humor of this fast-paced road movie doesn't stop at any minority - and no majority either. Everything is ruthlessly attacked, laughter can be so liberating.
