Event series
Queer Kino
Throughout 2019, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and in celebration of LGBT liberation, the Goethe-Institut brings you queer films from Germany.
Our yearlong series ends with a special focus on women in front and behind the camera. All films are presented with English subtitles and take place at the Goethe-Institut unless otherwise noted.
This program is part of the Goethe-Institut New York’s “Queer as German Folk” series, with which we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in 2019 as a milestone in the fight for gender diversity and equality.
