Drifting and converging: a heritage transmitted from generation to generation
After more than a century since the wave of Western culture began to show a profound influence in Vietnamese society, their legacies are still present in the lives of generations of Vietnamese people, especially in Hanoi. From micro-history stories set in a large context, the two authors create a connection between cultural values that, although drifting everywhere, converge on a need to define identity that prevails in a changing world. What is Vietnam, the answer lies in the process of finding that connection.
