This book addresses lexical and grammatical structures which children need to understand the four raccoon films from the first season of the "Sendung mit dem Elefanten": What does the bear look like, how does he spend his day, what does he like to eat, what movements suit him, etc.
All of this can be playfully taught, for example as supplementary material to the lesson. In the process, the little raccoon can become a popular model for German for elementary school children, much like Hans Hase has become for kindergarten children.
