Description

It is the year 1940, the Second World War is raging. Twelve-year-old Rolf and his father, a well-known and persecuted journalist and writer from Berlin, want to visit Rolf's mother, who is expecting them in New York. Their path leads them along secret paths in Spain. The journey becomes a life-threatening adventure. - Although the film is set during the Second World War, its themes are still frighteningly topical today and it is necessary to address them in the classroom as well.
