CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Translator-interpreter, “Living and working in Germany” project
The Goethe-Institut Cameroun is looking for 2 translators-interpreters (German => French => German and/or German => English => German) as service providers for the translation and interpretation of the written and oral content of the pre-integration offers as part of the “Living and Working in Germany” project in Cameroon from December 16, 2024 for a limited period until June 30, 2025, with an option to extend until February 28, 2028 at the latest.
The Goethe-Institut e.V. is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, operating worldwide. Its aims are to promote knowledge of the German language abroad, to foster international cultural cooperation and to convey a global image of Germany through information on cultural, social and political life.
Tasks include:
- Translating and interpreting the written and oral content of pre-integration offers.
Bidders' eligibility will be assessed based on the following mandatory eligibility criteria:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in translation/interpreting
- German language certificate, B2 minimum or equivalent
- Certificate of English or French language level, B2 minimum or equivalent
- Experience in translation/interpreting - demonstrated by at least 3 examples of work (60%).
- Price / Rate (40%).
The tender must contain the following:
- Evidence and self-declarations concerning all the above eligibility and selection criteria, including certificates, references, examples of work.

- Financial offer containing prices for:
- simultaneous and consecutive interpretation of an online information session, duration 90 minutes
- line-by-line and word-by-word translation of written content
