Workshop "Drawing on texts by Kafka"
In the Kafka Year 2024, the Goethe-Institut, together with the Austrian Embassy, invites ten Ethiopian artists selected by a jury from the Alle School, der Entoto Polytechnic College and the Africomics group to a workshop "Drawing on Texts by Kafka" with Nicolas Mahler, who drew the comic biography, which can be seen at the Goethe-Institut as a poster exhibition "Komplett Kafka" until April 19, 2024.
The aim of the workshop is to accompany the Ethiopian illustrators in creating illustrations for individual texts from the bilingual edition "Franz Kafka. Selected Short Prose" to draw illustrations or comic sequences that will then be exhibited and printed.
The workshop leader and comic biographer Nicolas Mahler and two Ethiopian artists will take part as jurors.
During the workshop, Nicolas Mahler will first introduce himself and his working methods.
