Marta Bausells is a writer, editor, translator and artist. Her work has received support in the form of fellowships, residencies, grants and awards by Headlands Center for the Arts, Vermont Studio Center, SPACE on Ryder Farm, Carraig-na-gCat (the Albers Foundation), Arts Council England, Tin House Summer Workshop, the London Writers Awards, Can Serrat, Ventspils House, Faber Residency, and the International Journalists’ Programmes in Berlin.
Her work has been published in The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian (where she was a staff journalist for four years), VICE, ELLE magazine, The Paris Review, and others outlets.
She's currently at work on her debut novel and on a creative non-fiction manuscript titled "Not My Story to Tell," on intergenerational trauma around the Spanish Civil War.
